Još uvijek u trci za rekordom Lindsey Vonn!
Potraga Mikaele Shiffrin za rekordom pobjeda Lindsey Vonn na Svjetskom prvenstvu za žene potrajaće još najmanje jedan dan. Shiffrin je u subotu 7.1.2023.godine, završila na šestom mjestu u veleslalomu i prekinula niz pobjeda na pet utrka.
Shiffrin je ostala zaglavljena na 81 pobjedi u karijeri – jednu pobjedu dalje od rekorda Lindsey Vonn od 82 pobjede.
Valerie Grenier iz Kanade je pobijedila u utrci. Drugo mjesto zauzela je Talijanka Marta Bassino sa zaostatkom od 37 stotinki, a treća je bila Slovakinja Petra Vlhova.
Federica Brignone zaustavila se na četvrtoj poziciji sa zaostatkom +0.53, a sjajna Lara Gut – Behrami za samo tri stotinke zaostatka za Federikom, našla se na petom mjestu.
Shiffrin još uvijek može dostići Vonn u drugom veleslalomu koji je na istoj stazi u nedjelju.
Već sa sedam pobjeda ove sezone, Shiffrin se također brzo približava ukupnom rekordu Ingemara Stenmarka – između muškaraca i žena – od 86 pobjeda.
Vonn se povukla prije četiri godine kada su povrede prekinule njenu potragu za Stenmarkovim rekordom.
