Generacija Z (ponekad opisana i kao “zoomeri”) obuhvaća mlade osobe rođene krajem prošloga i tijekom prvog desetljeća ovog stoljeća. Iako biste na prvu pomislili da je tu dobro prošao TikTok, koji je među “zoomerima” hit društvena mreža, anketa je otkrila nešto sasvim drugo. Na temelju odgovora nešto više od 600 ispitanika iz SAD-a (u dobi između 18 i 26 godina), njih 59% odgovorilo je da donekle ili vrlo vjeruju onome što vide na – YouTubeu. Samo 28% njih odgovorilo je da toj platformi ne vjeruje u nekoj mjeri.
Na drugom se mjestu po vjerodostojnosti i pouzdanosti našao Instagram (40% mu vjeruje, 45% ne), a iza njega su Twitter/X i WhatsApp. Tek na petom mjestu smjestio se popularni TikTok, sa samo 30% ispitanika koji su priznali da ga smatraju vjerodostojnim izvorom informacija. 57% njih smatra da je TikTok malo ili potpuno nepouzdan.
Posljednje mjesto, očekivano, zauzela je “društvena mreža za boomere”, Facebook. Na ovoj tradicionalno velikoj i moćnoj mreži Generacija X često niti nema otvoren račun, pa je u skladu s time i odgovorila na pitanje o pouzdanosti: 60% mladih ne vjeruje onome što vidi na Facebooku.
